The panel was a special session of the Day of Progressive Economic Policy 2021, a three-day online congress where many high-level speakers discussed the social, ecological and economic sustainable transformations needed to deal with the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is exacerbating existing inequities.

This congress was organised by the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), in partnership with FEPS, the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), Dezernat Zukunft and the Macroeconomic Policy Institute (IMK).
