Journalists and editors from Latin America attended this special seminar, hosted by the Initiative for Policy Dialogue in New York City and the Grupo de Diarios América.

Much of the seminar was spent looking at the causes of the current financial crisis and the effect it will have on Latin America. The agenda featured a number of prominent Columbia University faculty members, including Richard Klarida, Jose Antonio Ocampo and Stephany Griffiths Jones as well as Nobel Laureates Joseph E. Stiglitz and Edmund Phelps.
