On November 16, 17 and 18 there was a three-day workshop on “Covering Resource Wealth”. The aim of the workshop was to help reporters strengthen their understanding of the effect that oil wealth has on development and the importance of corporate governance.

The workshop was co-organized by the Kazkahstan Press Club. Speakers included Joseph E. Stiglitz, Columbia University adjunct professor Jenik Radon and Wall Street Journal reporter Steve LeVine. About 35 reporters attended the event.
