October Journalism Workshop on Development, Economics, and the Financial Crisis

IPD Journalism Training Director, media trainer Graham Watts, and a group of journalists selected by the International Institute for Journalism in Berlin gathered in New York for a week of seminars aimed at helping journalists cover development, economics and the effect that the global financial crisis is having on developing countries.

Speakers included NYU professor and WTO expert Robert Howse, IPD’s José Antonio Ocampo and Joseph Stiglitz, Amer Bisat and Shari Spiegel from the UN’s Department of Economic and Social Affairs, and UNICEF’s Isabel Ortiz.
